This image began as a physical art work and depicts a parasitic worm of some type being held in a box of oil. The image was taken with a camera in low light, and then the physical apparatus that created the image for the digital file was destroyed. This is the only part that remains. The buyer will be able to display this file digitally only. I think the depiction is also beautiful. The charcoal and its dark and light hues give the artefact image a feeling of nostalgia and the clinical aesthetics of formalism. There is an almost documentary feel to the image, as if this is / was a real thing at one point. The fact that there was never any parasite, and never any oil, or any kind of preservation of a real thing is important. The artist has created a memory without any experience to guide it. Therefore it is fitting that the emblem and the memorabilia of this experience is an artificial specimen of a fictional nature / reality.
