'This is a painting created with paper, oil sticks made fluid with safflower and sunflower oil. It is meant to look share the colours of a medieval illuminated manuscript, but it does not contain the details and the human characteristics of the depiction of saints. This painting honours the need in humanity to think of the otherworldly, to focus on redemption and to honour something in us that might motivate us to goodness.'
