Pyxel #9

This Pyxel rests atop a great volcanic mountain range at the northmost point of Veridonia. A relic from times and wars forgotten, it is inhabited only by the dead and their corporeal forms. The great King Aric Setaeus IV of the damned still rests on his throne commanding his loyal servants, and keeping watch over the unreachable and crumbling estate. From the towns at the foot of the mountains, townsfolk often hear howling and consuming screams carried on the cold winds down from this Pyxel. For those brave enough to traverse the icy obsidian slopes, a slow death and an afterlife of servitude awaits. Airships crossing the region have usually had safe voyages, however, one was not so fortunate. Found in the snow-covered wreckage, rushed messages of the unfortunate, recounting great trebuchets hurling stones, and this painting, the only picture that exists of the castle. It would appear that loitering nearby to paint the scenery is not a good idea.
